How to manage the VAT % of your products in Ad-Lister

Where VAT is displayed in Ad-Lister

There are multiple places where you can change the VAT of your products in Ad-Lister, these different VAT fields work in a different hierarchy. 



1. The VAT field in the Product Details - Top Level field


The VAT field within the product details has the power to overwrite the VAT % set anywhere else in Ad-Lister, meaning that it is a top level field. 

This field can be found in each and every product if you click on the Title of the product or the Edit option. 



This VAT field works for all of the platforms that support VAT and are connected to your Ad-Lister account. 


2. The VAT field in the eBay Listing Template - Mid-tier field (when posting to eBay)


The VAT field found within the Listing Templates works when there is no VAT added on a product level ( see point 1).
(The listing templates can be found in Listings--> Listing templates)




The VAT value in this field overwrites the VAT set in the Store VAT settings and it only gets pushed to eBay, it does not work with the other platforms.
The VAT in this field gets overwritten by the VAT value found on the product level.

 3. The Default Store VAT field found in the Ad-Lister settings - Lowest level field


The Default store VAT is set to 20% by default, and this applies to all of your listings and platforms.
This can be found in Settings --> Ad-Lister Settings





The Default Store VAT gets overwritten by the the VAT from the Listing Templates and the VAT value that can be found in the product details.

Hierarchy of the VAT fields


The hierarchy of the VAT fields is as follows, and please note the fields overwrite each other only if they continue values:

VAT field that is found in the Product details > VAT field that is found in the Listing Templates (for eBay) > The Default Store VAT
