How to update your VAT in bulk using Ad-Lister
There are several ways to change the VAT of your products using Ad-Lister, and it all depends on the use case.
1. Change the VAT % for all of your products from the Store Default VAT field
If the VAT rate of all of the products that you are selling has changed in general, then you can quickly update the VAT% using the Default Store VAT in Ad-Lister.
The field can be found in Settings--> Ad-Lister settings
2. Changing the VAT for a selection of products using the Ad-Lister interface
You can update the VAT% of your products in Bulk using the Bulk VAT editor. This is useful if the VAT% has changed only for a certain range of products.
In order to use the Bulk VAT editor follow these steps:
1. Go to the Products Page
2. Select the products for which you would like to change the VAT% for
3. Click on the Product Actions drop-down
4. Select Bulk Update VAT
5. Add the VAT value
6. Click on Apply
3. Update the VAT using a CSV file
You can download the products from Ad-lister into a CSV file:
1. Select the products that you would like to download
2. Select VAT on the CSV export page
3. Click on the Product Actions drop-down
4. Click on Download
5. Select VAT on the product download page
6. Click on export
Once you have opened the CSV file, you can then add the VAT values into the VAT column and upload the file back into Ad-Lister.
To upload the file, you will have to:
1. Go to Products--> Product upload
2. Select the file from your computer
3. Click on Continue
4. Make sure that the Update existing inventory option is selected
5. Click on Update
Please note that after updating the VAT options in Ad-Lister you will have to revise your products on all of your platforms.
