Getting to know the Settings page

Introduction

Have you ever wondered where do you adjust all of the settings in Ad-Lister and tailor it just for your needs?
Why, in the Settings page, of course!
The settings page offers a lot of customization possibilities for the end-user, and while it may seem a bit overwhelming, we'll break it down for you in this article.

Accessing the Ad-Lister Settings page

Accessing the settings page is very simple. All you have to do is hover your mouse over the Settings tab in Ad-Lister, and click on Ad-Lister settings. Here you'll be presented with all the options that you can adjust to your liking.

Contents

The Settings page is logically divided into multiple sections, ranging from general settings, to eBay settings, inventory settings and the way your catalogue/products page is displayed in Ad-Lister.
Let's start with Inventory settings:
Highlight zero stocks - this will, as expected, highlight products that are out of stock
Set Product QTY to 0 when I end the listing - once a listing is ended, the QTY will be automatically set to 0
Hide prices in listings navigator
  • - This allows your GTC listings to stay live, even if the QTY reaches 0
  • Enable Kit products (Bundles)
  • Set QTY = 0 for cloned products - a newly cloned product will have a QTY of 0
  • Do not copy tags when cloning an item
  • Enable post to all platforms
  • Display Prefix and Suffix fields on the product page
  • Skip "Select listing template" window when posting a product - This can speed up the listing process

  • You can also adjust the store VAT% on this page
Then we have the eBay Settings:
Show eBay message notifications
Upload images to eBay - ticking this option will send the photo and upload it to eBay, instead of generating a link to the photo
Display listing fees before posting a product
Enable eBay opt-out

Customization of the Product Page:
Edit product in popup window - Unticking this will make it so the edit page for the product will be opened in a new browser window
Enable Lot Size
Enable RRP (Recommended Retail Price)
Show full tag names

Additional Customs data fields
Display a warning if required Additional Customs data fields are empty
Required Additional Customs data fields in order to list on eBay
Autofill Description Summary

We also have a few shipping settings, such as the ability to enable Click&Collect or GSP (Global Shipping Programme)

And finally, the variation settings:
Modifying variations (required to change specifications for variations)

Enable EAN for variations
Pass EAN/UPC in variations to eBay
Make the search bar work within variations
Use separate variations for Amazon

Did you know that you can link your Ad-Lister account to the Ad-Lister mobile app, available for iOS and Android?
Simply scan the QR code on this page and you're good to go!
We also have a hidden selection of settings, for our more advanced users, which are accessible underneath the mobile QR code, by simply clicking on Advanced Settings or Other Settings.
